The building pays a total price for internet for everyone based on a contract for electronic communications services under Act No. 127/2005 Coll. on electronic communications.
The landlord divides the costs among the tenants as part of the building services, similar to the cost of hallway lighting.
People pay for the internet based on their own individual contracts for electronic communications services under Act No. 127/2005 Coll. Everyone has their own.
Interconnect pays a monthly rebate to the homeowners association or cooperative based on an agency contract under Section 2445 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code.
First, we need to determine the approximate interest and whether the whole process would be feasible in the building. You can often estimate this if you know your neighbors well. You appoint a representative, usually someone from the committee, who fills in the basic information for the building in the form. The more precise, the better.

To be honest, the biggest challenge is people. If we want this, we’ll need to communicate and work together, otherwise we simply won’t reach the group pricing. We need to agree on what speed is suitable for everyone, approve the installation, and instruct the HOA board to sign the contract. If too few of us can agree, it’s not worth doing.
It’s new here and neither operators nor people in the Czech Republic are used to it yet. But it’s the future — just as in Germany, both Czech operators and residents will have to get used to this approach and learn to communicate and agree for their own benefit.
