A public IP address is an additional service that can be ordered with standard tariffs. The customer thus obtains NAT 1:1 to their target IP address for a public IP address from the global public IPv4 range. This allows them to use specialized internet applications, operate server services, data exchange, etc. With a public IP address, the customer's computer becomes accessible from all over the world.

We strongly recommend that customers who decide on a public IP address pay close attention to securing their network infrastructure and computers, as they can easily become targets of pirate and virus attacks.

Did you know it can be free? We will assign you your own block of public addresses in IPv6 format completely free of charge upon your request.
