Our primary goal is to provide the best possible services to our customers, but at the same time, we want to help make the world around us better.
What are we doing to achieve this?
Today, an integral part of social responsibility is adhering to legal and ethical standards, transparency, and openness towards customers, suppliers, and investors, as well as towards our own employees. All of this should be a standard today, which hardly needs mentioning.
But we strive to go even further.
To minimize the environmental impact of our activities and compensate for what cannot be reduced, we have taken a number of measures. Part of our electricity consumption is covered by a 12 kWp photovoltaic power plant, and we strive to prioritize less energy-intensive technologies.
We also try to protect the environment in other ways. In winter, we don’t heat the hallways, and in summer, we set the air conditioning to 25°C. Our cars are white, which helps us limit air conditioning use and reduce fuel consumption. Digitalizing documents helps us minimize paper use, as do reusable cardboard boxes.
Last but not least, we actively strive to improve the environment ourselves. We keep bees at our headquarters and only mow our land once a year, creating a natural habitat for other insects such as butterflies and bumblebees. We also manage our own forest property in the Vysočina region, affected by bark beetle infestation, where each internet connection we provide has its own tree.
Social responsibility isn’t just about ecology. That’s why every year we donate 0.2% of our companies’ turnover to a range of philanthropic projects.
Among these are especially WOMEN FOR WOMEN, o.p.s., which pays for school lunches for children from socially disadvantaged families, and the dog shelter DOGPOINT, to which we send material gifts like tennis balls, blankets, quality dog food, and treats for both the dogs and staff.
Every year we also support several selected projects; this year, for example, we provide free internet for several hostels housing refugees from Ukraine.
We also consider it essential for social responsibility to prioritize European and American technologies over Chinese ones.
