The infrastructure is built and paid for. The question is who will take care of it next, so it remains truly usable for citizens and visitors.
Access points installed years ago often can't keep up anymore. They lack current firmware and manufacturer support.
Cloud controllers and management platforms run on licenses that will expire. Without them, you lose access to network management.
Who pays for the connection today and who is responsible for it? In many municipalities, this is not at all clear after years.
The municipality typically only learns about a non-functional access point from a dissatisfied citizen. Often after months.
Without regular functional tests, no one knows if the network really covers what it should, and in what quality.
Public Wi-Fi connected to the office network or without user isolation is an unnecessary risk that needs to be eliminated.
Public Wi-Fi is a useful service for citizens and visitors, and the municipality has already paid for it once. In most cases, it is enough to technically revive the network, set up proper management, and at low monthly costs it can continue to serve well.
We divide the service into a one-time handover and network audit, and subsequent regular operation with management and support.
A one-time phase we start with.
A monthly service that keeps running.
If we find defects during the audit, we fix them within the available time and technical possibilities. If more is needed, you will receive a report on the identified defects and a proposal of specific steps for their elimination - no surprises later on.
We have been in telecommunications since 1998. We operate our own network, our own operations center, and our own team of technicians.
Connectivity, device management, monitoring, licenses, support, and revisions under one contract. The municipality coordinates nothing.

You will receive it completely filled out. A standard contract for the provision of electronic communication services for legal entities, 24-month commitment.
We are a Czech company, not a multinational corporation. We deal directly with mayors and even a smaller municipality is a full-fledged client for us.
Interconnect employs experienced dispatchers and technicians who can remotely diagnose a connection in a matter of minutes and expertly decide on the best possible service method.
Interconnect has its own TIER III operations center in its premises in Křenice near Prague. Thanks to proactive monitoring, we are the first to know about an impending problem and actively start solving it.
The difference is in the first step: with proactive monitoring, we detect the problem before you even have a chance to report it.
Never mind. Most municipalities don't know.
Contact us and together we will go over what to do next with your WiFi4EU network.
Contact usWiFi4EU was a European Union initiative to promote free public Wi-Fi in municipalities and cities. Selected municipalities received a 15,000 EUR voucher for the purchase and installation of Wi-Fi infrastructure.
Access points were typically installed in squares, municipal offices, libraries, parks, and other public spaces. The mandatory sustainability period has already ended, and municipalities are now figuring out how to ensure further operation.
The initiative definitively ends in September 2026. The WiFi4EU portal and stored statistics were accessible until August 16, 2026, after which the portal closed. The mobile application and support e-mail inbox are being gradually phased out.
Further operation of the network is thus fully under the direction of the municipality.
The hardware itself will not stop working. The problem usually lies elsewhere: licenses for management platforms expire, support disappears, the login page may be tied to EU systems, and no one monitors the network. Typically, the network thus falls apart gradually - one access point after another.
That is precisely why it makes sense to deal with it before it stops working completely.
After the end of the initiative, this is up to the municipality's decision. Some operators keep the brand because citizens know it, others switch to their own network name. Both are possible, and we will gladly advise you on this according to your specific situation.
It is not. We encounter this commonly - the installation was often done by an external supplier a few years ago, and nothing usable was left behind at the office. Part of the handover is precisely mapping the current state, tracking down and restoring accesses to controllers, cloud systems, and active elements.
We assume that the value of the fulfillment will in all cases be below the limit for procurement procedures, and the contract can be concluded directly by the mayor's signature, without discussion by the municipal council or board.
However, we recommend verifying the specific procedure according to your municipality's internal rules. You will receive the contract completely filled out and ready for signature in advance.
Part of the handover is up to 8 hours of a technician's work directly in the municipality. Whatever can be fixed within this scope, we will fix. If we encounter more extensive defects, you will receive a report with their description and a proposal of specific steps, including estimated costs.
We will never charge you extra without prior agreement.
Yes. Once we have the network under management and know its state, expansion with additional access points is straightforward. Many municipalities use this to cover sports grounds, cemeteries, bus stops, or newly landscaped public spaces.
Yes. We are not a corporation that only deals with large orders - every client is important to us regardless of size. Reach out, and we will tell you straight what makes sense for you.
